General:
Well Court is a pedestrian passage accessed either via Queen Street
or Bow Lane.
Arriving by
cab:
Ask for either Bow Church on Cheapside or The Golden Fleece pub in
the top half of Queen Street.
Then follow instructions
below:
Access to
Well Court from Queen Street
Turn into Queen Street from Cheapside. On the right, after 100m there
is a cul-de-sac with a pub called 'The Golden Fleece' on the corner.
Turn into the cul-de-sac, then turn right after 20m into Well Court.
No.12 is on the right hand side.
Access to
Well Court from Bow Lane
Turn into Bow Lane from Cheapside, On the left, after 50m there is
a passage called Well Court (opposite Bow Wine Vaults and 'Pret A
Manger' - sandwich shop on the right hand corner). Turn into Well
Court, No. 12 is on the left hand side.
Arriving by
tube / rail:
From Mansion
House tube (District / Circle)
Take exit marked 'Bow Lane', turn left out of the station; walk up
Bow Lane (pedestrian passage), cross over the small crossroads (Watling
Street). After 50m there is a passage called Well Court (opposite
Bow Wine Vaults and 'Pret A Manger' - sandwich shop on the right hand
corner). Turn into Well Court, No. 12 is on the left hand side.
From Bank
tube (Central / Northern / DLR etc)
Take exit marked 'Cheapside' or 'Poultry'. Walk along Poultry to major
crossroads with traffic lights. Turn left at lights into Queen Street.
On the right, after 100m there is a cul-de-sac with a pub called 'The
Golden Fleece' on the corner. Turn into the cul-de-sac, then turn
right after 20m into Well Court. No.12 is on the right hand side.
From St Pauls
tube (Central)
Take exit marked Cheapside South Side. Walk along Cheapside on right
hand side, past St Mary-le-Bow Church (Bow Church). Immediately past
the church is Bow Lane. Turn into Bow Lane. After 50m there is a passage
called Well Court (opposite Bow Wine Vaults and 'Pret A Manger' -
sandwich shop on the right hand corner). Turn into Well Court, No.
12 is on the left hand side.
From Cannon
Street (rail or tube - District / Circle)
Turn left on exit and walk along Cannon Street to traffic lights.
Turn right into Queen Street and later cross the major crossroads
with lights (Queen Victoria Street) into the upper section of Queen
Street. After 50m there is a cul-de-sac with a pub called 'The Golden
Fleece' pub on the corner. Turn into the cul-de-sac, then turn right
after 20m into Well Court. No.12 is on the right hand side.
